Though clinical supervision is an expected aspect of training for all dance/movement. Within the larger system of Laban’s method of movement analysis, Irmgard Bartenieff became wellknown for articulating several body organization principles that continue to mobilize and inspire a variety of movers and movement facilitators even today. This presentation offers a framework for understanding professional development across the career span for dance/movement therapists, using the Bartenieff Fundamentals as a template for facilitating personal and professional growth and development. In so doing, participants are invited to strengthen and celebrate their own embodied wisdom as a sustainable resource that travels with them across time, supporting them, their clients, and the communities they serve.
